INSPIRATIONAL | Summer Lovin’
Hot days like these just make me want to grab a vintage bathing suit and run around on the beach! And I just love how creative everybody gets with there outfits on hot days like these, to keep themselves cool!
I just wish that the summer would last forever… oh well.. since Holland is not the perfect place for long summers, lets just look at pretty (vintage) photos of those ‘good old days’! ;)

Have a wonderful warm weekend!

NYC Diary

As you probably already know, is that I work as a costume designer and photographer for a theater here in New York City. Tonight will be the opening night of that show and I am so excited!
So my last week has been mainly about finishing the costumes and taking the publicity pictures for the show (one of them is the picture above!).

Fot those of you that live nearby, you should definitely come and watch it! You can find more about the show here.

I haven’t had the time to do much else lately besides working on the show and making fun tutorials for this blog ;) But it was such a great last week!

Here are some Diary pics from last week:

Seeing my name on the poster and flyer, jeej!

Discovering American things! - Classics on tv and - Iced Chai Lattes (mjam!)

And doing some more shopping for work, and taking pictures for Jenny on her rooftop! @best jobs in the world!

Inspirational Tuesday
I am in love with this photography project that just keeps inspiring me. The images where taken by photographer Menno Aden and are part of his ‘room portraits' series.
Alle of these photographs are taken by a camera that the artist installed on the ceiling of various rooms. He has captured many different environments and I really enjoy just browsing through his collection of regular spaces taken from a different angle.

Doesn’t this just make you want to take a look at your own home from the ceiling? :)

Inspirational Tuesday
These wonderful photographs are in the new March Vogue US edition. They where made by the extremely talented Alex Prager, and are featuring pretty Lily Cole in different settings.

I just love Alex Prager’s work and I am starting to wonder if there is anything that she can’t do ;)

Have a lovely Inspirational Tuesday!

Inspirational Tuesday
I love television shows, and I probably watch way to many of them :) I am currently totally favoring Boardwalk Empire. I just love to watch the dresses and get into the twenties vibe.

These photographs made by Ellen Von Unwerth (who I mentioned before) are featuring the lovely leading ladies from Boardwalk Empire. Aren’t these amazing, and don’t you just want to put on that summer dress and dance on the beach with them?

Have a lovely tuesday everyone!

Inspirational

Because of my blogs 6 month anniversary yesterday and the delicious pumpkin pie tutorial, I missed the weekly inspirational tuesday. So I have a pretty amazing inspirational artist today to make it up to you!

The artist of these amazing photographs is Natsumi Hayashi. She lives in Tokyo and takes photos of herself ‘levitating’ in different settings.
I really love how the levitations in her pictures look very realistic and natural. The settings are always very interesting and the poses just seem to match in every picture.

I am very inspired and can’t wait to levitate in one of my own pictures!

Capturing The Moments

One of the things that I enjoy the most about having my blog, is that wherever I go, I always bring my camera with me. I am always on the hunt for new and inspiring things. Mostly I just take photographs of things that inspire me and I want to remember that for an occasion where I might use it. But some days I just like capturing my life as it is on that moment.

These pictures where taken last weekend when me and my boyfriend went cycling and I just loved the view from this bridge. The last picture is the local thrift store. It’s in my street and it’s actually just a house turned into a cute little store, I love it!

And also thanks everyone for the wonderful comments on the giveaway! The giveaway is still going until wednesday, but I really wanted to say that I love reading everyones comments and personal thoughts on the necklaces!
