DIY | Business Card Upcycle
I am always so excited when I can use a new method in a DIY! I just discovered this stamping kit from Staples, that lets you create your own text on a stamp!
And stamping itself is always great fun, but I wanted to see what else I could stamp on and discovered that it stamps on ribbon to!
So I immediately thought of a new fun way to restyle my (boring) business cards into cute tiny looking gifts :)

Here’s how:

1. Supplies: Business card (you can order them online or make them yourself) | ribbon | Stamp like this one or you can order a customized stamp on Etsy | Ink pad
2. Prepare the stamp by placing the letters.
3. Dab the stamp in the ink.
4. Stamp your text on the ribbon.

All done!

DIY | Pillow Gift Box
For some reason I have a lot of friends that celebrate their birthday around May/June/July. And because I am a fan of making most of the presents myself, I feel that it’s only suitable to present it in a homemade gift box!

For today I am showing you a very easy Pillow Gift Box tutorial, with a free downloadable template!

Here’s how:
Supplies:
Paper | Printer | Scissors | Glue stick

1. Print the free template and cut out the box shape out.
2. Trace the template onto the paper of your choosing and cut the shape out. Fold along the lines.
3. Use a pare of scissors to make the sidelines fold better.
4. Use your glue stick to attach the sides.

Phone Cover DIY

Use your phone for storing romantic memorabilia!
My boyfriend gave me these beautiful roses the week before I left to New York. And I really felt like it was the perfect gift to bring with me on my trip. So I decided to use it as decoration for my phone:)

Here’s how:

Supplies: Rose Petals | Clear plastic phone cover

1. Place the rose petals in a thick and heavy book and let them dry.

2. Get a clear phonecover en place the rose petals in the cover.

You can also use many different flowers and mix them to create a new color palette.

All done!

Snow Globe DIY
I have always wanted to make my own snow globe but figured that it would be impossible to make. Until I found these snow globes on Anthropologie, and thought: ‘I can do that!’

I bought a tiny jar and decided to use shrink plastic for the tree to give it a more personal touch.

It was so much fun to make and I love shaking it and watch the pretty glitters swirl!
Supplies:
Tiny jar, shrink plastic, glitters, glue
1. Download the Free Printable Template and trace the shape onto the shrink plastic.
2. Cut the shape out of the shrink plastic and place it in the oven, follow the instruction on the shrink plastic pack.
3. Use some glue to attach the tiny tree to the lit of the jar.
4. Put your glitters into the jar.
5. Fill the jar with water.
6. Place the lit on the jar and use your glue gun to seal the edges of the lit to prevent from leaking.

All done! Now let’s Shake Shake Shake!

Sinterklaas
Today is Sinterklaas in Holland!

And for all of you not Dutch people let me explain to you what that means:

Sinterklaas is the name of a character and a holiday named for Saint Nicholas, a real-life Catholic bishop who was known for his kindness to children. Like Santa Claus, the modern-day Sinterklaas has become a non-sectarian figure who is beloved by all children. Both characters wear red and reward children with presents for being ‘nice’.
Every year, about three weeks before his name day on December 5, ‘Sinterklaas’ arrives by steamboat from Spain, along with his white steed and trusted helpers, the Zwarte Pieten (‘Black Peters’).
For a lot of families it’s tradition to give each other gifts on ‘Sinterklaas’ (the 5th of December). And a lot of families like to make these gifts in the form of a ‘Surpise’. The surprise is normally personalized for the receiver, and often comes with a personalized “Sinterklaas poem”. A surprise (from the French word) is a present that has been packaged in a special way, for example in a large cardboard gamecomputer.

I already celebrated Sinterklaas last weekend and it was so much fun! It’s always so exciting to not only get a present but also a personalized ‘Surprise’ and poem!
I made a cushion in the shape of a perfumebottle for my sister and it turned out so cute! And don’t worry I wrote a tutorial about it, so keep an I on my blog because the DIY will come pretty soon!

My Newest Toy

I already got my birthday present from my boyfriend, even though my birthday isn’t around yet. He got me a Wacom Pen tablet! And I am so happy with it! I am not very good at drawing, so I will have to practice. But it will come in so handy when I use photoshop. This is the best present ever!

And here you go, my first drawing with the Pen tablet ever! Not my best work by far, but I just wanted to share this proud moment with you.
